In terms of process, we first do a deep dive into consumer insights, in order to understand potential motivations, as well as learn about areas of conflict with the product’s intended goal. Then we research competitive sets, and audience data points, such as demographics and psychographics, before we ever put pen to paper (or pen to tablet or mouse to computer or…you get the idea).
Sometimes we work with existing brand guidelines, but oftentimes, we work with our client to develop brand standards from scratch, employing a proprietary workshopping system to garner actionable brand intelligence. That informs creation of the brand personality, primary and secondary palettes, typography, visual cues and brand promise.
Using our brand intel, we can craft everything from packaging to fully developed marketing and advertising campaigns. During this process, we periodically check back with audiences, via primary and secondary research (both in the real world and online) to gauge effectiveness. Then, we reiterate, if necessary.
